Guess who got a commission to draw a character and got whiplash from the cute design versus the personality?
Really, though, despite being blindsided by this character, I actually really enjoyed stretching my skills to figure out how to make the forced perspective work and how to make the blood effects stand out without overwhelming the main composition. The dramatic lighting wasn't specified by the commissioner, it was something I did myself because I was throwing down all this texture and couldn't figure out how I wanted a background to work, basically went "SCREW IT! NEON!" and went from there.
Don't think I'll ever draw this character again, but it was a fun experience.
